World Retail Congress announce 2014 Global Retail Index

The 2014 Global Retail Index Survey, supported by CEOs and executives from the world’s leading retailers and continues to be built to be an invaluable barometer of the retail industry was launched this week. The survey is designed to provide an understanding of the industry’s views about the prospects for the next 12 months as well as the future business priorities and opportunities. All of the answers are anonymous and will be aggregated to provide an accurate reflection of sentiment which will then be collated into a report that will be published on the first day of the World Retail Congress.

It only takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete so now is the opportunity to get involved,  multiple language options are available.

Once the survey is completed, we give each person a special discount on passes to the event, a code will be given at the end of the survey.

Report reveals Luxury brands should focus on online video & radio

The Luxury Institute has just conducted research on the amount of time consumers spend on various media channels. Different demographics of consumers were surveyed in the US with a minimum household income of $150,000 per year.

This report focuses on how these behaviors differ among Baby Boomers, members of Generation X and Millennials.

The results show important insights that can guide luxury brand decision-making, as well as best practice implementation for companies cater to wealthy consumers.

  • Wealthy Baby Boomers spend significantly more hours per week watching live TV than younger generations.
  • Affluent Millennials spend more than double the amount of time texting than
    Baby Boomers.
